International Commercial Law for Managers begins by examining the differences between domestic legal systems around the world and then provides a simple overview of international law. The work then focuses on international organizations which play a role in shaping international trade and commercial law (WTO, EU, UNCITRAL, etc.) and subseguently moves to examining the laws and rules which affect private international relationships (basic contract principles, sales contracts, intellectual property, dispute resolution, etc.). This book does not focus on any particular jurisdiction preferring to take an international and comparative approach to the legal issues discussed. It also features explanations which avoid overuse of technical jargon. It is a useful starting point for those who need to dive into the field, whether as part of their course of studies at a business school or as a manager in the field.
